COMMUNITIES AT WORK CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE.

 The Bartholomew Selvon Foundation (BSF) received a prestigious award for outstanding community service on August 4th in Maryland, USA during a ceremony organized by the Caribbean Professional Network (CPN) as part of Caribbean Emancipation Day celebrations. 
The foundation was recognized for its exceptional work in supporting underserved students in Trinidad, particularly through its Homework centers and Tutoring educational programs. 
The award was accepted by BSF's founder, Cassandra Selvon, along with key members of the organization; Fran Henry and Shurland Oliver. 
The event, attended by notable figures such as ambassadors from Grenada and St. Kitts & Nevis, highlighted the critical role of grassroots organizations like BSF in fostering positive change in the Caribbean. 
The recognition underscores the foundation's significant impact on the LaSeiva and Maracas Valley communities and serves as an inspiration for others committed to community service.
